Watch: Passenger plane emergency landing after engine malfunction

A United Airlines passenger plane made an emergency landing in Honolulu on Tuesday after part of the plane’s engine came off in midflight.

The accident occurred an hour after the plane’s scheduled landing in Honolulu airport following a flight from San Francisco over the Pacific Ocean.

Passengers on the plane said they heard a big noise and then the aircraft started trembling.

An airline spokesperson said the flight captain managed to land the plane at the Daniel K. Inouye without any problems. There were 363 passenger and 10 crew members aboard the plane.
