WATCH: Police looking for man who entered home of elderly woman, tied her up and robbed her

The Police are looking for a man who broke into the home of an elderly woman in St Julian’s this afternoon.

The Police said that they were informed of the burglary from the residence in Triq Ċensu Tabone which is located in the area of Balluta, at around 4.30 p.m.

The man, whose face was hidden, entered into the home of the 75-year-old woman, tied her up and stole some of her things. He escaped with an amount of jewellery and coins. The woman was not injured and the thief’s identity is not yet known.

The investigations by the District Police together with the Violent Crimes Unit within the Major Crimes Department are ongoing.

Meanwhile, footage from nearby CCTV cameras is being examined.
