WATCH: Police officers racing at the quarter of a mile event

It was an unusual scene at the MDRA site at Ħal Far on Saturday. Among the vehicles and motorcycles which participated on the racing track, there were also vehicles and bikes of the Police Force.

Various police officers participated in the quarter of a mile race with service cars and motorcycles as part of the Malta Dragracing event, which is held during the weekend to raise funds for the Blue Light Foundation.

The Foundation was set up following the accident of constable Simon Schembri, who is also an motorcycle enthusiast, with the aim of offering support for members of law and order forces who are injured during their duties.
