WATCH: Prime Minister visits swabbing centre, meets with workers

During an unexpected visit to the swabbing centre in Ħal Luqa, Prime Minister Robert Abela said that Malta has a very high rate of testing, which is three times more that the European average and 22 times more than the World Health Organisation recommendations.

While thanking the workers in the health sector who are working during the pandemic time, the Prime Minister stated that he wanted to ascertain himself on their working conditions.

Recently, the health authorities continued to increase the rate of swab tests for Covid-19, even with the planned opening of two new centres in Ħal Qormi and Burmarrad, apart from the other existing four in Ħal Luqa, Pembroke, Mater Dei hospital and the Gozo General hospital.
