WATCH: Split second action saves boy from train

In India, a train worker risked his life to save a small boy who was nearly run over by a train.

Reports said that the six-year old boy was walking with his visually impaired mother near the platform’s edge, with the consequence that the boy fell down into the rails.

The mother appears to be searching for the boy, while the latter stands up and tries to climb on the platform, which was too high for him.

At the same time, a man is seen running on the rails, grabbing the boy and throwing him on the platform, while he also climbed on the platform. Within two seconds a train passed through the place they were in.

The man was identified as Mayur Shelke – a worker at the Vangani station in the state of Maharashtra. Indian Railways praised the heroism of the worker and his dedication to work.
