Watch: Crucifix damaged during procession in Spain

A statue of Jesus on the cross has been damaged after being dealt a blow during a Good Friday related procession in Spain.

The incident occurred last Sunday in Burgos, when the statue was hoisted upright just before the start of the procession.

It was reported that the statue toppled over when the rafters supporting it split.

The statue is a replica, and had sustained damaged in one of the arms, the cross and the crown of thorns.
