Watch: Stolen bird-cage in Senglea

The facade of a house in Isla which is often da magnet for tourists because of the way it is decorated, yesterday also drew the attention of thieves.

A birdcage which was attached to the front door of Alfred Zerafa’s home in Point Street (Triq il-Ponta) was stolen.

Video footage taken from security camera show a man and woman looking at the cage for several minutes at around 5.00pm.

When nobody is walking past, the man leans toward the cage and removes it, and then the two of them takes off with the cage.

Mr Zammit appealed to anyone who had information to forward it to the police.
