WATCH: This Christmas do not use wrapping paper

This Christmas when giving out presents do not use wrapping paper.

This is the message being given this festive season by the Mayor of Gzira and the Chairperson of Ambjent Malta, Conrad Borg Manchè together with many Maltese personalities.

They are encouraging everyone to give presents wrapped in magazine newspapers, brown paper or other recycled material.

This is because wrapping paper cannot be recycled since it is laminated or painted. Therefore in order to save trees and safeguard the environment, wrapping paper should be put aside in favour of recycled paper.
