WATCH: Vaccine replaces Jolene in Dolly Parton song

Internationally acclaimed singer Dolly Parton has resorted to music to deliver a message linked to the Covid-19 vaccine.

Parton, who is 75 years old, interpreted a short excerpt from her popular song Jolene, albeit with a difference, with the aim of urging her followers to get vaccinated.

Parton interpreted the excerpt just before she was administered the Moderna vaccine, which she herself had helped to develop when she donated $1 million to the Vanderbilt University Medical Centre in Nashville.
