WATCH: Vandal burns Pride Week flag in Ħal Balzan

During the night a vandal set fire to a flag raised by Balzan Local Council. The Council came out in condemnation of this act, which it said is to be deplored.

The coloured flag was being flown as part of Pride Week, which aims at raising awareness about the rights of the LGBTIQ community.

The vandal act was caught on security cameras, with a person, probably a male, seen lowering the flag and setting it alight.

TVM is informed that this afternoon the Police are holding a person for further investigation.
