WATCH: When the Tritons fountain was turned off during Earth Hour

The Tritons fountain in Valletta has been included in the official video of Earth Hour 2019 as one of the world’s main attractions.

In the video released by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) international organisation to promote this year’s Earth Hour initiative, the Tritons fountain is shown being turned off as part of the 2017 initiative.

This initiative is aimed at raising awareness on climate change, and numerous buildings and monuments around the world are turned off simultaneously in a symbolic gesture.

This year’s Earth Hour is scheduled for 30 March at 8.30 p.m.
