Watch: Works in Tal-Balal have been completed

Road works in Tal-Balal have been completed. These include the widening of two carriage lanes to four and other facilities, including a pavement which connects Naxxar to San Gwann.

During the inauguration, Minister for Infrastructure Ian Borg said that road was used by 3,000 people every hour and that before the project began a 25 minute wait in traffic was the norm.

Dr Borg said that with the installation of 129 roadsigns and crash barriers which are scientifically proven to minimise the impact of collisions, the project also addressed road safety.
