When Black Sabbath were on Radio Malta

It was at this time 27 years ago that the radio programme Rock Express made its debut with the song Born to be Wild by the Canadian group Steppenwolf.

From that time, Brian Micallef, who is one of the station’s most veteran presenters, has continued with his musical programme dedicated to rock and blues, which is followed by so many listeners on Radio Malta.

Over the years, Brian has invited internationally acclaimed groups and artists such as Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Fish and many others.

From the local scene, the presenter has invited the majority of groups and singers from the rock and blues genres, to help them promote their music in the local and international markets.
