Wikipedia back in Turkey after three-year absence

After an absence of nearly three years, Turkey is once again allowing access to Wikipedia.

The country’s Constitutional Court decided that the ban contravened freedom of expression. Access to Wikipedia had been banned in Turkey in April 2017, after the online encyclopedia refused to delete articles criticising the Turkish Government.

In fact, the site was kept blocked for 991 days.
