Winner of International Fireworks Festival announced

The fireworks club known as Għaqda tan-nar 25 ta’ Novembru Santa Katerina, from Zejtun has won this year’s International Fireworks Festival. Vallcalluzzo Events Italia came in second place while Platinum Fireworks from the Philippines placed third and Pyrocom from Estonia placed fourth.

The show at the Grand Harbour using synchronised music was one of the most beautiful moments of this international event. This year the festival was held over four days, last week in Mqabba and Xagħra, and last night in Valletta. Thousands of Maltese and tourists flocked to the areas near the harbour to enjoy the lovely colours which filled the skies in a pyrotechnic show which was set to music. The show was broadcast live on tvm.com.mt.

This was the 18th edition of this fireworks festival organised by the Malta Tourism Authority and the Tourism Ministry. It will come to a close on Saturday 4 May in an evening of fireworks organised in collaboration with the Floriana local council.
