Winner of mechanical fireworks national festival announced

The 15 August fireworks company in Mosta is the winner of the 12th edition of the National Festival of mechanical fireworks.

12 fireworks companies and organistions took part in the competition in which they had to demonstrate two of their best firework displays.

The category for the best mechanism was won by St Joseph Fireworks company in Kirkop. The category for the best use of products was won by the 15 August fireworks company in Mosta. The category for originality in design and movements was also won by the Mosta company.

The jury was made up of three international pyro-technicians from the  Netherlands, the UK and Denmark, while the Chairman was Michael Brockdorff.  The jury evaluated the fireworks while they were being set up, while they were being set off and even through video footage.
