WITH VIDEO: Foreigner arrested after saying he wanted to rape children at Marsa

Many parents and teachers who this morning assisted to a sport event at the Marsa Sports Ground had to phone the Police and hold a foreign man until assistance arrived at the scene.

It appears that a number of parents saw the man acting in a suspicious way when they approached him and told him to stop smoking near children.

Eventually the man started uttering offensive words and threats when he ran on the Marsa track near the children. Persons speaking to TVM alleged that he started shouting he wanted to rape them.

Some parents and teachers immediately acted to hold the man until RIU policemen arrived on sites.

Filwaqt li prova jirreżisti l-arrest, ir-raġel ġie arrestat u ttieħed l-għassa ta’ Ħal Qormi.
