The Wolt company has started operating in Malta in recent days, with the aim of delivering food to one’s home from a wide selection of restaurants in under half an hour.
Wolt is operating in Birkirkara, Floriana, Hal Għargħur, Gżira, Ħal Balzan, Ħamrun, Marsa, Imrieħel, Msida, Naxxar, Pembroke, il-Pietà, St Julian’s, San Ġwann, tas-Sliema, Swatar, Swieqi and Valletta, as well as in parts of Attard and Ħal Qormi. The company is aiming to eventually extend its service to every locality in Malta and Gozo.
Wolt is presently offering deliveries from about 100 food outlets, including McDonald’s, Eetwell, Alice Pizza, Sotto Pizzeria, Cinnabon, Subway, Kebab Ji and Manouche Craft Bakery and Bistro.
One can order food between 9.00 a.m. and 11.00 p.m., either on the website or through a mobile app. Clients can also order food for later in the day or even for another day.
Wolt has launched a number of offers, including a free delivery service for distances under 2km.
In order to prevent the spread of Covid-19, Wolt is closely following all World Health Organisation instructions and is in active contact with the local authorities to ensure the safety of its staff, restaurants and clients at all times. The Wolt system helps to minimise human contact.
