Woman grievously injured after being run over in Gzira

A 63-year-old French woman who lives in Ta ‘Xbiex was grievously injured yesterday after being hit by a car in Gzira

Police were informed of the incident which took place at the Strand at around 12.45pm.

District police went to the scene where they discovered that the woman was hit by an Otokar Kent LF driven by a 37-year-old man from the Philippines who lives in Pieta.

The woman was given first aid by a medical team and taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

District Police investigations into this case are ongoing.
