Woman grievously injured in Marsascala accident

A 50-year-old woman who resides in Marsascala sustained grievous injuries in a collision in the same locality. The Police said the accident occurred in Triq il-Gardiel at about 5.30 a.m.

District Police went on-site, where it resulted that an Italian national had lost control of the Toyota MR2 vehicle he had been driving, and as a consequence had crashed into a parked Audi vehicle. The 50-year-old woman had been a passenger in the Toyota.

A medical team was summoned to assist the woman, who was then transferred to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. Investigations into the accident are being handled by District officers.
