A 31-year-old woman from Zejtun has ended up in hospital following a collision in President Anton Buttigieg Street, Zejtun. The accident occurred at about 9.30 a.m. as a result of a collision between a Toyota Vitz driven by a woman and a BMW driven by a 19-year-old youth from Qormi.Just before the collision both cars were proceeding in the same direction, from Marsascala towards Bir id-Deheb. On impact both vehicles mounted the pavement and ended up demolishing the parapets of two houses.
An ambulance was summoned and transferred the woman to hospital, where she was certified to be suffering from slight injuries. The youth was uninjured.
Police from Zejtun Station went on site to draw up a report on the accident.
