Woman raped on train in Pennsylvania but no one came to her aid

A man, aged 35, is being held under arrest in the US on charges of raping a woman on a train, with authorities saying that the attack was seen by a number of passengers however no one intervened or called for help.

The aggressor, identified as Fiston Ngoy, is known to the Police and was caught in the act by employees of the railway in Pennsylvania.

The attack took place on Wednesday at 11.00pm with footage from CCTV cameras showing that none of the other passengers even tried to help the woman as she was being sexually assaulted.

A spokesperson for the SEPTA railway said he was shocked at how people were able to see such a scene unfold in front of their eyes and do nothing. He urged anyone who sees a crime being committed to phone immediately for help on the emergency line.
