Worker injured in one-storey fall at Mosta factory

A worker who was working at a marble factory in Mosta has been hospitalised after falling from a one-storey height. The accident occurred at about 1.30 p.m. in Triq Durumblat.

The injured person was carrying out some work on a fibre ceiling, when it collapsed under him, resulting in his falling to the ground.

His fellow workers immediately called for assistance, and the first to turn up were Rapid Intervention Unit officers, who in turn summoned an ambulance.

An ambulance arrived with a medical team.  After being administered on-site medical assistance, the worker was transferred to hospital by ambulance.
