Young man arrested for arson of vehicles and door of residence in Valletta
A young man, aged 21, has been arrested in connection with arson of vehicles in Valletta last summer.
In a statement the Police said the arrest took following weeks of intensive investigations by the Arsons Unit within the Major Crimes Division, along with the Valletta police station.
It was stated that the incidents took place between July and September, when three vehicles were set on fire, and four other vehicles parked near them were also damaged as a result.
The investigations also led to the same young man being identified as the culprit who in April allegedly burned the private residence of a door in Valletta.
He was arraigned today in front of Duty Magistrate Nadine Lia and was charged by Inspectors Jeffrey Scicluna, Saviour Baldacchino and Priscilla Caruana Lee.
