A 21-year-old Briton is in danger of dying after being stabbed by a pointed weapon in the early hours of this morning.
In a statement the Police said it was informed of the case in the area of Tigne at around 5.30am.
They went on the scene and from initial investigations it results that there was an argument between the young man, who lives in Birkirkara, and another man who fled the scene.
The Briton was treated by paramedics and taken to Mater Dei where he was later certified to have sustained grievous injuries.
Duty Magistrate Astrid May Grima has opened an inquiry while Police investigations continue.
