A. 21-year-old who lives in Rabat is in danger of dying after he fell the height of several storeys from the Mdina bastions last night.
The Police were informed at around 7pm that their assistance was required in Triq l-Għarreqin, Rabat, as someone was injured and was calling for help.
The district Police went immediately on the scene and found the young man laying in a field.
Members of the Civil Protection Department and paramedics were called to assist and the victim was taken to the hospital. He was later certified to have sustained grievous injuries.
Duty Magistrate Neville Camilleri has opened an inquiry. Police investigations are ongoing.
This is the second young man to have fallen from bastions this week. Two days ago, a 25-year-old Swiss national was also seriously injured after falling from the Valletta bastions.
