A 25-year old youth from Ħ’Attard was arraigned under custody in Court after he was caught with 87 sachets of suspected cocaine.
The case emerged during the night between Sunday and Monday when Msida district police and Armed Forces members were on traffic inspections in Valley Road, Msida. They stopped a Peugeot car for inspection and found the sachets under the driver’s seat.
The man pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Yana Micallef Stafrace, who released him from custody with various conditions.
Prosecution in the case is being led by Inspectors Colin Sheldon and Justine Grech.
