Youth dies after probably being attacked by a shark in Australia

A 15-year-old youth has died, probably after being attacked by a shark whilst surfing in Wooli Bay in South Brisbane, Australia.

“I talked to one of the surfers and basically he said that he was in the water and a really big Great White Shark came up and took a bite,” a woman who frequents the area reported.

Some persons who were at the bay brought the youth ashore, where he was given medical attention for serious injuries to his leg. The youth succumbed to his injuries on the beach.

Local authorities closed down the bay and are carrying out an investigation into the incident.

This is the tenth such attack in Australia this year.
