Youth who killed eight workers in Indianapolis was former employee at the same centre
The 19-year-old armed youth who killed eight workers before turning the gun on himself in Indianapolis was a former employee at the centre where the shooting took place. He had been placed under psychiatric detention last year after his mother had expressed concern that he could commit suicide.
The victims include four members of the Sikh religious community, which has called for an investigation to determine whether there was any racial or ethnic hatred behind the crime. The last of a series of seven mass murders in the US in the past month occurred in a FedEx centre close to Indianapolis international airport at about 11.00 p.m.
The attack only lasted for a few minutes and ended as soon as the Police arrived.
