Two youths detained under arrest after caught stealing at Marsa

Two Sudanese youths have been detained under arrest after carrying out a series of thefts at Marsa yesterday.

Mohamed Tajeb Adam who is aged 23 and Mahmud Isara, aged 19, were arraigned in Court and charged with the thefts after being caught by Police during a routine patrol in Triq Derby.

Two men, one from Mali and the other from Eritrea informed Police they were victims of theft with one of them stating they had been threatened with a knife before being robbed.

Searches carried out by the Police resulted that the two accused had keys, mobiles and cash in their possession. The two Sudanese youths are denying all allegations.
