Alan Mario Sant and Roberto Vella in the Republic of Ireland


FIFA Referee Alan Mario Sant has been appointed by UEFA to take charge of matches in the European Under-19 Championship 2016 Qualifying Round Group 1, being played in the Republic of Ireland between 13th and 18th November 2015.

The Malta FA Refereeing Department has appointed FIFA Assistant Referee Roberto Vella to participate in this mini-tournament together with other appointed match officials from Finland, Iceland and Republic of Ireland.

The participating teams with hosts Republic of Ireland are Scotland, Slovenia and Latvia.

The first appointment for Alan Mario Sant (as 4th Official) and Roberto Vella is the Republic of Ireland – Slovenia match on Friday 13th.

Two days later on Sunday 15th they will have their first appointment together as referee and assistant referee in the match Republic of Ireland – Latvia.

Their second appointment together as referee and assistant referee will be on the final matchday, Wednesday 18th during the Latvia – Slovenia match.

(All their three matches will be played at Eamon Deacy Park in Galway).

UEFA Referee Observers Emil Bozhinovski (Macedonia) and Vlado Svilokos (Croatia) have been appointed to assess the performances of match officials at this mini-tournament.

Miroslaw Ryszka (Poland) is the appointed UEFA Delegate.
