Football: Marsa and Mdina with more good results after a strong start

After an impressive start to the season, Marsa have continued producing good results after beating Birżebbuġia St Peters, thanks to a late goal by Ryan Mifsud.
Swieqi United beat Mġarr United 2-0, with goals coming from Matthew Asciak and Kenneth Ezekie.
Għargħur beat Siġġiewi 1-0, thanks to a goal by Muda Fagbeja. Mellieħa and Żurrieq ended up with a goalless draw, while Zejtun Corinthians beat Qrendi 2-0 with goals by Margeith Scicluna and Nelson Ortiz Escobar.
At the Centenary Stadium, Kirkop United and Msida St Joseph gained one point each in a 2-2 draw.
There was another draw between Sirens and Zabbar St Patrick of 1-1, Daniel Cremona put Sirens in front, and the draw for Zabbar came from Shalon Diacono.

Mdina Knights kept their 100% record with yet another win after beating Santa Venera Lightnings 4-0 for their fourth consecutive win.
The goals for Mdina came from Andrea Spiteri, Mark Cremona, John Cachia and Alex Demarco.

Meanwhile in other matches, Marsaskala beat Xgħajra Tornados 2-1. Royter Degiorgio put Xgħajra in front, however Justin Zammit and Dennis Sytnik then scored for Marsascala.
At Luxol Stadium, Santa Luċia and Attard finished their game in a 2-2 draw, while Marsaxlokk obtained a good win after beating Kalkara 2-1.
John Paul Barbara and Ryan Damato scored for Marsaxlokk, while Lizio Grech produced the consolation goal for Kalkara.

In other matches, Luqa St Andrews beat Ghaxaq 2-0, and with the same score line Dingli Swallows beat Ta’ Xbiex.
