Inter supporter who was run over during fight prior to Inter-Naples match, dies

The Inter supporter who last night was run over outside San Siro stadium prior to the Iner-Naples match, has died.

Daniele Belardinelli, 35, appears to have been run over by a van carrying some Ultras from Naples, who drove into the Inter supporters. It is being alleged that the Naples supporters had earlier been attacked by Inter fans from the Varese section.

The Italian police confirmed that the fight involved at least 60 supporters, with four Naples fans ending up being stabbed with pointed weapons.

So far, Milan officials have arrested three people to help with this investigation.

Inter is expected to face sanctions including having to play a number of matches at San Siro with the gates closed.
