Born in 1960 in Attard, Xuereb has not only excelled in the visual language of his creations, whether in the gurative or in the abstract sectors, but has equally proved his expertise in the diversity of techniques and media employed.
Attracted by forms, texture and colour – internally driven, and emotionally charged, Xuereb’s works of art have been described as very uplifting.
He works with variety o f mediums; Xuereb’s portfolio seems to be the works of several artists. The versatility in such a collection is what Xuereb is best known for; his ever-changing use of techniques has become his signature.
The balance of wildness and sensitivity in his creations are just some of the styles you will discover when looking into Xuereb’s world.
‘13’ is a collection of thirteen pieces, made from an exquisite blend of raw pigments, infused with a mixture of glues to create a textured and subtle free-owing expression of the custom created colours.
David Xuereb’s inspiration for this collection came from satellite weather imagery and whilst many people see simple colour patterns, David’s idea was to mimic the beauty of the movement as well as the gradual fusion of the colours in these images and transforming them into abstract works of art.
For more information, David Xuereb can be contacted through the above contact details and representatives of the media are invited to attend.
