Now that we are amidst the Summer months, going for a swim is both refreshing and enjoyable to most. However, there are many risks associated, one of which is drowning.
What shall we do when swimming fun turns into a sour experience? How should we act in such a difficult scenario? Drowning is the third leading cause of death worldwide, out of which 70-80% are preventable (if dealt with appropriately).
The Department of Nursing is organising an educational event with the aim to educate the general public about the process of drowning and the immediate actions required.
