Soprano Kimberley Marie Grech will perform a delightful repertoire in a lunchtime concert at St. Augustine in Valletta on 7th May 2019 at noon. ‘La Colomba Bianca’ recital will feature excerpts from well-loved operas that will surely thrill all music lovers.
Kimberley will be singing some of her favourite arias composed by Mozart, Mascagni, Donizetti and Puccini. Accompanied by outstanding pianist Julia Miller, who will also provide captivating piano interludes, the soprano will be performing excerpts from Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, Puccini’s Suor Angelica, and Donizetti’s Anna Bolena. The programme also features two enchanting songs by Pietro Mascagni: ‘La Tua Stella’ and the all-time favourite ‘Serenata’.
Kimberley Marie Grech, a medical doctor by profession, has always showed passion for music and art. At the age of 12; Kimberley was awarded a scholarship in Musical Theatre and Arts in Herts, England and continued her studies by successfully achieving a Distinction in her Diploma in Performing Arts by the age of 19. Highlights of her singing career include: Mrs.Jaffet in Britten’s Noah’s Fludde, solo recitals held at various locations including Notte Bianca, Spazju Kreattiv, Strada Stretta Concept, President’s Palace and Auberge de Castille.
She has also performed solo works of Nicolo Isouard accompanied by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra. Kimberley has participated in various concerts held internationally including Israel, Scotland and Italy and attended various masterclasses lead by Laura Sarti, Patricia Macmahon, Matteo dalle Fratte and Peter Ford.
