Stu and Abby ‘Stitching’ their relationship at the Manoel Theatre

Unifaun Theatre Company will be hosting the long-awaited performance of this once-banned play.

The play has been known to generate controversy among theatre-goers, but staging it is an act in favour of freedom of expression in the arts over censorship.

‘Stitching’, by the critically acclaimed playwright, Anthony Neilson, explores how the central couple, Stu and Abby, struggle to keep their relationship alive as they try to cope with the loss of their child.

Neilson’s dark and intimate dialogue opens up to unveil the trauma experienced by the couple, whose lives are disrupted by defective communication.

It will be performed by its original cast: actors Pia Zammit and Mikhail Basmadjian, under the direction of Christopher Gatt.

Performing dates are 14, 15, 16, 19, 21, 23 September 2018 at 9pm at Teatru Manoel Studio Theatre.
