For the third consecutive year KSFA Malta shall be organising, what has become its annual fishing marathon, where children between the age of 6 and 12 years will be fishing in aid of the young children of Qalb It-Tfal
Who are Qalb It-Tfal. They are a foundation that offers psychological, emotional, materialistic and financial support to the patients, their relatives and staff of NPICU (Neonate Paediatric Intensive Care Unit), and to children in our society who are psychologically, physically or emotionally neglected.
This year’s event, similar to last year will take place along the Marsascala Promenade on Saturday the 16th September, with the kind permission and endorsement of, the Marsacala Local Council. The event will be held between 1700hrs and 2000hrs. There will be a minimum donation of 5 euros for every child fishing, all of which will go towards the cause. Meeting place shall be on the promenade near Brighton at 1630.
Various activities will be launched on site, such as a Bouncy Castle and face painting. KSFA members will be on the spot to offer fishing techniques to the kids, and Qalb It-Tfal staff together with the organisers will be on location to collect donations on the spot. Does your child not possess a fishing rod and line, no worries KSFA will have these on the spot, just get a bucket and some bait.
It is of the utmost importance that children are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
All participating children will be presented with a medal commemorating the event.
