Ben CamilleBen Camille is arguably one of the most talked about actors and models of the moment in Malta.  He is also a young entrepreneur.  His current project at heart is definitely the development of his own boutique hotel in the heart of our capital city Valletta.  Owning his own property management and development company by day, Ben is now turning a new page in his life.  He shall be hosting both the semi-final and the final of the #MaltaEurovision Song contest, Malta’s most popular music event.

Ben has earned ample popularity through his modelling career.  He has modeled for a number of local and large international brands and organizations.  He is also an integral part of an established local modelling agency which was founded by his mother, Carina Camilleri, an accomplished fashion stylist and former model, and his father, Pierre Camille, a well-known artistic director and hair stylist.

In addition, Ben is an eminent personality with the local TV viewers.  He started his acting career when he took part in the local TV series called il-Klikka in 2012 in the role of Thomas.  Presently he plays the part of Mario in one of the most followed Dramas on Television Malta called Strada Stretta.

Alongside his current projects, Ben is working closely with the Ministry for Education to lend his face for an anti-bullying campaign.  Ben feels it is of utmost importance to give back to the community and says he does this with a great passion.  He aims to visit several schools around Malta and Gozo to hold anti-bullying talks with the primary objective to raise awareness and increase knowledge and education on the subject matter among school children.

We met Ben during the rehearsals and took a short comment about his upcoming experience at the Mediterranean Conference Centre.  This is what he had to say;

I am very excited and honoured to be hosting the 2016 Malta Eurovision Song Contest.  I’d like to thank Mr Attard for believing in me and for giving me this great opportunity.  I am extremely humbled, as well as both nervous and excited.  I hope to give the viewers what they expect and deserve out of this fantastic show!

Ben’s next goal is to host his own TV programme.  Certainly, he aims to prove his skills while hosting Malta’s favourite song contest.  Find out more about Ben by visiting his official facebook page here!
