The group Firelight obtained the highest score at the Malta Eurovision Song contest with the song Coming Home. This means that the relatively new band has won the rights to carry the Maltese flag in Copenhagen, Denmark in May 2014.
Coming Home obtained a maximum of 63 points.
Pin the Middle sung by De Bee placed second with 46 points . Former Junior Eurovision contestant Daniel Testa came third with his song One Last Ride with 41 points.
The tvm.com.mt award went to Hypnotica of Jessika.
PBS Chairman, Dr Tonio Portughese presented the trophies to the winners.
A press conference for all the winners and Emmelie de Forest was held in the MFCC press centre after the festival.
Malta’s Firelight will perform in the first half of the second semi-final at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen on 8th May 2014.

Firelight is a Maltese country-folk-pop band. The band consists of Michelle Mifsud (vocals, piano, percussion), Richard Edward Micallef (vocals, acoustic guitar, Appalachian mountain dulcimer, percussion), Tony Polidano (vocals, upright bass, electric bass, acoustic bass, percussion ), Matthew Ellul ( acoustic guitar, electric guitar) and Leslie Decesare ( drums, percussion, harmonica).
