Firelight, the band that will represent Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest in Denmark, was invited to perform live at Euroclub – Vega, Copenhagen last night. Among other songs they played a mash up of Brown Eyed Girl, I Got A Feeling and Edge Of Glory and their 2014 Eurovision Entry “Coming Home“. Afterwards, the band was taken to a photo booth where they could meet their fans and take pictures and selfies. The crowd had extremely good comments after their show. One of the fans of Malta who comes from Germany commented “I would love to see Malta in the final; I will certainly vote for Malta in the second semi-final, Malta is one of the smallest countries in the Eurovision Song Contest, but by far one of the largest countries that produce very good music, coupled with enthusiastic artists”.
Besides Firelight, Sanna Nielson from Sweden, Softengine from Finland, Tijana representing FYR Macedonia, Kasey Smith from Ireland and Cristina Scarlat representing Moldova were also performing in the same show. Firelight CD’s and merchandise was distributed during the performance.
The next performance by Firelight is today at 16:15 at the Eurovision Village and later tonight after midnight Firelight will join Chiara for the “Malta Happy Hour” at Europhoria, Eurofan Cafe right after midnight. Expect a night to remember!
