Firelight travel to Eurovision in Concert

Amsterdam, Netherlands

The largest Eurovision promotional event is back at Melkweg, one of the most renowned music venues in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.  The sixth annual Eurovision promo party will host 25 artists from different countries including Firelight from Malta.

TVM as well as a good number of Eurovision media including Eurovision.tv will be there to cover the event, and to bring interviews with the artists, as well as their performances at the Melkweg venue in the city centre.

With 25 countries participating in Eurovision In Concert, matching the number set last year, could the situation arise that every participating country in a forthcoming edition of the Eurovision Song Contest be present at Eurovision In Concert?

“I don’t think it’s possible to host all Eurovision participants in Eurovision In Concert” states René Romkes, main organiser of the event. “We have a limited capacity, for fans, press and artists. All the artists want to do a sound check and a rehearsal; we simply wouldn’t have the time to do a sound check with 37 countries! The concert would take too long as well then. Besides that, we’re not aiming at creating a second Eurovision Song Contest; we’re a promotional event. Of course, all countries are invited to take part, but we have a maximum, and at moment that is around 25 countries.”

Firelight will perform their Eurovision entry “Coming Home” in the 15th position.  The line-up includes the participants below;

ALBANIA – Hersi

ARMENIA – Aram MP3

AUSTRIA – Conchita Wurst

AZERBAIJAN – Dilara Kazimova
