Preparations are in full swing to launch the video of the winning song of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest ‘Coming Home’ of the group Firelight.
tvm.com.mt yesterday afternoon visited one of the “secret” locations of the filming. Fans of the Eurovision Song Contest will be eager to get to know more about what is going on behind the scenes.
Commenting to tvm.com.mt, Richard Edwards , the leader singer of the band , did not reveal anything about the story line of the video, but we could see that the set itself will be causing an intrinsic link with the lyrics of the song.
When asked about his experience so far, Edwards answered that he had to wake up very early yesterday to be on the set where the filming was taking place and that he is very excited to see the final product . “The video has a very beautiful story and I am very excited to see the final product,” said Edwards.
The directors of the video are Angie and Duane Laus. Rodney Gauci, the producer of the video did not wish to discuss the story line of the video in order to keep an element of surprise. However, he is convinced that the song that will be representing Malta in Denmark in May will have a video that will undoubtedly attract the attention of the followers of Eurovision, particularly those on the social networks.
From the little time we spent on the filming set we could see that the atmosphere among the team is very positive and focused. As stated by Rodney, the only problem on the set is to try and “get rid” of Richard and send him “back home” .
“Coming Home” is written and composed by Richard Edward Micallef , Michelle Mifsud , Tony Polidano Ellul and Leslie Matthew Decesare .
