Updated: Italian man suffers head injuries in fall in Gnejna

A 57 year old man is believed to have suffered grievous yet non-life threatening head injuries in a fall in Gnejna Bay.

It is being reported that the Italian fell onto the clay area at around 3p.m.; subsequently hitting his head violently on the ground.

Due to the unstable terrain, members of the Civil Protection Department had to resort to the helicopter in order to transport the man to hospital.
