'Paving the way towards earning respect once again' – Lawrence Gonzi

Tonight, the Nationalist Party is paving the way, towards winning back the respect of the Maltese and Gozitans, said outgoing Nationalist Party leader, Lawrence Gonzi.

These four candidates have shown the assets the party can boast of, said Dr Gonzi, while thanking all four candidates for their dedications and active role in the party.

Addressing in particular, Simon Busuttil, Dr Gonzi expressed his gratitude for the sacrifices he was willing to make for the party, adding that more sacrifices are to be expected of him.

‘I am sure that Simon Busuttil will pay back in kind the faith shown by the councilors, by taking the role seriously’ Dr Gonzi.

Dr Gonzi expressed gratitude to those who took part in this election, while also thanking those, who worked along side him during these past nine years, while leader of PN; adding that the success the country achieved was achieved also thanks to them.

The outgoing PN leader, said the party is ‘living wonderful times’; with the time ripe for the party to restrengthen and face off new challenges.
